The Popular Show Season Four Unveils the Soldiers Party

From the very beginning of the fourth campaign, new Dungeon Master the talented storyteller has kept viewers on edge with rich lore, a diverse cast of personalities, and a thrilling plot showcasing divine entities, demons, and malevolent powers expanding in influence within the city.

Note: Key plot points for the third episode of Campaign 4 follow below.

The Warrior Group Introduced

The latest chapter ended with a major cliffhanger and presented the first table of characters who will split off from the central cast to embark on their independent quest, distinct from the remaining groups.

This warrior group features the determined fighter (brought to life by the voice actor), Thimble (Laura), the strong-willed figure (the cast member), the cleric (Sam), and the mysterious adventurer (Robbie).

The Reason for Division

Given 13 cast members, it was clear from the outset that maintaining everyone at the same party would be unworkable.

This explains, the opening chapters of Campaign 4 serve as an Overture, intertwining the individual narratives before dividing into three separate parties: Warriors, Schemers, and Explorers.

Characteristics of the Warrior Group

Per Brennan Lee Mulligan, the warrior group is for adventurers who enjoy a classically intense fight-heavy story mode where peaceful solutions are few and far between.

Upon first impression, characters like the hesitant healer Wicander Halovar might look unsuited, but the developments of episode 3 make it clear why these five characters are ideally matched for the Soldiers table.

Reasons to Leave

To begin with, the group knows exactly where to head next after a brutal opening clash with the antagonists.

Casimir of Thjazi Fang—whose demise started the narrative’s action—manipulated The Crow Keepers for his own means, entering the hidden lair, striking the character, and taking all the magical artifacts to sell off.

The antagonist then settled his debts and fled to a secure base in Gormalay, Timmony, beyond the city, with Cyd hot on his heels.

Personal Motivations

Secondly, each character has a specific drive to depart the urban setting:

  • The agile hero, as Thjazi’s partner and trusted friend, seeks revenge.
  • The adventurer has experience in the region and warns that it is a dangerous place.
  • The strong character and The cleric, having disobeyed his relatives’ demands to kill the fighter and instead rescued him, have no other options.
  • Yet, their position as prominent individuals in the influential clan could enable the party enter areas they normally couldn’t.
  • Furthermore, Teor pledged a eternal obligation to The cleric for his deliverance and will now go with him anywhere.

Wanted and Hunted

In addition, all of them are wanted by the powers that govern the setting for a multiple motives, making remaining behind dangerous:

  • Thimble and Kattigan are known criminals.
  • The warrior and The healer betrayed the powerful family and the horde of evil beings they are aligned with.
  • Teor is targeted for elimination by the clan.

This leaves them few options but to travel to the northern region in pursuit of the traitor.
