European Leaders Condemn US Move as ‘Coercion’

European leaders such as the French president accused the US administration of “bullying and threats”, after the travel bans were placed on individuals that were central to efforts to enact laws governing US-based technology firms.

“For far too long, European activists have led organised efforts to pressure US companies to suppress American viewpoints they oppose,” wrote the US secretary of state online. “The current administration will no longer tolerate such actions of extraterritorial censorship.”
